Firm foundations for sustainable building
Insurance firm Zurich International Life says its move to purpose-built new premises in the Isle of Man Business Park next year affirms the company's long term commitment to the Island.
Work on the three storey structure, commissioned from Dandara and described by Zurich as state-of-the-art is well underway, with staff due to transfer there in late 2017.
Contractor and client aim to win BREEAM sustainability accreditation for the building - and have a 'very good' rating in their sights.
BREEAM or Building Research Establishment Assessment Methodology developments are said to focus on value, efficiency, innovative use of resources and the well-being of employees who work in them.
If successful, the ZIL office complex would become one of only a handful of buildings in the Island to gain the recognition.
Seamus Nugent Managing Director of Dandara said: “We are delighted to welcome Zurich International Life to the Isle of Man Business Park and look forward to working with them in delivering a new purpose-designed office suitable for their dynamic, international operations and workforce.”
