Popular rider died at NW200 on Saturday

The Manx Motor Cycle Club has extended its condolences to the family and friends of a Manx Grand Prix winner who died at the weekend.

Malachi Mitchell-Thomas died at the North West 200 on Saturday.

He won the Senior MGP last year, settings a new lap and race record with a lap speed of 122.221mph.

Chairman of the Manx Motorcycle Club Harvey Garton described Malachi as a huge supporter of the MGP, and said he’d taken an ACU course to help MGP newcomers.

Mr Garton said the club’s deepest sympathy goes to his parents, Kevin and Vicky as well as all his family and friends.
