SMP Partners has appointed Scott Young as Quality Assurance Manager.
Scott has more than nine years’ experience in the eGaming industry, most recently spending two years as a Gaming Inspector for the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.
He also has extensive background in management and compliance, including several years as Operations Manager with one of the longest-running eGaming companies in the Isle of Man jurisdiction. In that role Scott gained an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of areas including website management, back office development and VIP customer relations, while also liaising with jurisdictions and regulatory bodies around the world.
Group Director David Hudson said Scott’s wealth of regulatory and legislative experience will complement SMP Partners’ already well-established Compliance, Risk and Operations team.
He said: ‘Scott’s extensive knowledge of management and compliance in the industry further enhances SMP Partners’ strong offering in this dynamic and competitive marketplace. He has experienced the industry from within both a leading gaming firm and the Isle of Man’s regulatory body, ensuring a deep understanding of the complexities of compliance and operations from both perspectives.
‘Many clients, both established and start-up, now hold multiple licences from multiple jurisdictions, and managing the significant compliance, regulatory and operational demands this creates requires much greater focus and resource. The ongoing recruitment of experienced eGaming professionals like Scott demonstrates our commitment to meeting clients’ needs in this critical area.’
