Equiom appoints Monica Dixie as Senior Tax Consultant

Equiom Solutions Limited, the tax and VAT business of Equiom Group, has appointed Monica Dixie as a Senior Tax Consultant.

With more than 12 years’ experience in accountancy positions and tax consultancy, Monica will provide support to Equiom’s clients to manage their UK and Isle of Man tax in a compliant and effective manner. She will also closely monitor and deliver appropriate support in relation to international developments including the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Base Erosion and Profit Sharing (BEPS).

Monica joins Equiom from Deloitte where she previously led the Isle of Man tax department, with responsibility for operational and financial control of the business. Her appointment to Equiom supports the Group’s focus on ensuring that Equiom and its clients are in the best position to respond to changes in the international business environment.

Helen Woods, Managing Director of Equiom Solutions, commented: ‘I am delighted to welcome Monica to Equiom Solutions. Her experience will add a new dynamic to our technical team and will further expand our expertise in the areas of FATCA, CRS and BEPS. This will ensure that we continue to proactively support Equiom’s clients across the international Group with the highest levels of tax advice and support.’

Having trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Monica went on to qualify as a Chartered Tax Adviser. She is a committee member of the Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and various other industry and Isle of Man Government Advisory committees.

Monica added: ‘Equiom is a dynamic business operating in a range of exciting and fast-paced industries. I’m delighted to be joining an impressive team of experienced tax professionals and look forward to working with Equiom’s diverse range of clients as well as providing support to the specialist in-house teams.’
