Colby Football Club will be able to provide increased coaching to youngsters living in the south of the Island thanks to Zurich.
The international insurance company has purchased a number of new sets of goalposts for the club, which will increase its training facilities. Zurich is a long-standing supporter of Colby AFC, having been kit sponsor for its Under 11 team since 2013 in addition to providing other items of training equipment.
The new goals will help add to the existing training facilities which are already used on Saturday mornings by up to 120 children aged between four and 16.
Merita Taylor, Communications Manager at Zurich International Life, commented: “Zurich is delighted to continue its support for Colby AFC by helping the club’s coaches to increase their training provision for youngsters living in the south of the Island. Junior football is incredibly popular at Colby and it’s great to see that coaching can now be extended to support a wider group of children.”
Rob Mason, junior coach at Colby AFC, added: “The support of Zurich has been invaluable to the continual improvement of our junior training facilities which will now include a junior grass training area in addition to our existing 3g Astroturf facility, which is used to develop the skills of our young footballers.”
