Project enhances business visitor offer

The Claremont has announced a £1 million investment in new executive suites - along with plans to upgrade the hotel's conference and banqueting facilities.

Work on the news suites, each featuring a separate lounge and luxury fittings is due to begin later this year.

The four star hotel on Loch Promenade in Douglas set itself firmly in the business visitor market after a £2 million refurbishment programme in 2012-2013.

Berlin architects Bernreider Sieweke-Langemann who designed the hotel's entrance, reception and lounge areas have been engaged to develop the bedroom suite project.

Guests will be provided with smart TVs, multimedia desks and complimentary superfast broadband - and each room will feature a bespoke mural reflecting an iconic Manx image.

Mark Wilson, managing director of Sleepwell Hotels said: "This investment is further proof of our unwavering commitment to providing the best business hotel facilities in the Isle of Man.

He added: " We have consistently sought to raise the bar with regard to the Island's hospitality proposition so that we are competing on a par with the top brands in international commercial centres around the world."
