DED boost to local e-Business

Douglas-based Hubpeople has almost doubled its workforce in the past year.

The firm which developed and operates an online dating platform powering thousands of dating websites worldwide, has seen the number of permanent staff employed rise from 10 to 23.

Hubpeople says it has worked closely with the Department of Economic Development since 2014 to develop an e-Business strategy, and has received support from the DED Financial Assistance Scheme.

Owner Michael O'Sullivan was voted one of the 30 most influential people in the worldwide online dating industry by Global Dating Insights in 2015.
