Packet help for community party

Douglas Town Centre Management has announced an exclusive partner for this year's Douglas Carnival.

It's been confirmed the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will be the event's official sponsor.

The firm will stump-up £1,300 to sponsor every prize category in the carnival parade.

Categories include Best FLoat, Best Charity Entry and Best Overall Entry - with a top prize of £250 up for grabs.

The 2016 Douglas Carnival is on Sunday 17 July.
