Firm to present on digital currrencies
Senior figures at Island law firm DQ are set to raise the Isle of Man's profile at an international conference for legal, accountancy and service providers in Portugal next month.
Managing partner Tom Maher and head of regulatory and compliance services Sinead O'Connor will give a presentation entitled 'Digital Currencies out of the Shadows and into the Spotlight' at the TAG Alliances event in Lisbon.
The Douglas-based operation belongs to TAGLaw, a network of independent legal firms, and part of TAG Alliances which has more 280 member firms in 100 countries.
DQ says it aims to highlight the attractions of the Isle of Man for 'reputable' blockchain and FinTech business - and to promote the Island generally.
TAGLaw is ranked as an 'Elite' legal network by Chambers and Partners, the respected guide to law firms and lawyers around the world.
Mr Maher said: "We support and attend TAGLaw’s events around the globe in order to promote the Isle of Man and foster closer relationships with our fellow member firms so that when our clients need legal or other professional support in any of the 100 countries covered, we can pick up the phone to someone we already know and trust."
