Dominant duo seal doubles
The dominant forces in Manx hockey have secured league and cup doubles.
On Saturday, Men’s Premier League champions Bacchas A went on the rampage as they put 10 past Vikings A without reply in the Men’s Cup Final.
Andy Whiting was the star of the show with five goals as the champs embarked on a rout to finish their campaign with a 100 per cent record.
He was joined on the scoresheet by Andy Vernon-Browne (two), Tony Bentley-Roberts, James Harrison and promising young talent Patrick Cox.
It was a role reversal in the Women’s Cup Final as strikes from Kirsty Cooper, Chelsea Bawden and Mia Greenwood fired Vikings A to a 3-0 triumph over Bacchas A.
It clinched another unbeaten season for them.
Valkyrs B have sealed the Men’s Plate.
Rob Comber and Rob Condra scored the goals as they edged out Vikings B 2-1.
Ash Dougal pulled one back but Valkyrs held on.
The Women’s Plate is heading north.
That’s after Ramsey B defeated Vikings B 3-1.
Daniella Stoutt opened the scoring for Ramsey before Hayley Crowe levelled.
However, Maddy Dunlop and Alex Smilk ensured Ramsey regained the lead and lifted the silverware.
