Steam Packet scheme thanks volunteers

Marshals who gave up their time for the TT festival are once again being given advance booking privileges with the Steam Packet Company.

Some members of the TT Marshals Association, affectionately known as Team Orange, will also be eligible for a discount on sailings for TT2017.

Marshals who served on five or more ocassions in 2015 will be able to book their travel ahead of the general public for next year.

Those who attend both the TT and Festival of Motorcycling in 2016 will be eligible for a partial refund on their tickets.

Team Orange Chairman Robert Crane said the schemes were a display of gratitude to those who 'make the TT happen'.

Anyone who's eligible for advance booking or discounts will be contacted by the Steam Packet directly in the coming weeks.
