St. George's pull ahead in title race

Second heavy defeat for Peel in four days

St. George's have moved closer to a sixth consecutive Canada Life Premier League title and an eleventh crown in thirteen years.

They beat nearest rivals Peel 5-0 at Glencrutchery Road thanks to goals from Calum Morrissey (2), Joey Morling (2) and captain Frank Jones.

The win moves St. George's twelve points clear of Peel at the top of the table but the westerners still have three games in hand.

At the bottom, Ayre are safe from the threat of relegation after a 4-0 victory over Marown.
