Last weekend Isle of Man Archery Club members Lesley and Rodger Sleight both won their classes in the English Field Archery Championships held in Kendal. Rodger won the Traditional class and Lesley the American Flatbow Class. The weather was extremely poor with continuous rain on the Saturday and very muddy conditions on the Sunday.
Despite the conditions Lesley managed to achieve a 3rd consideration score for selection for the Great Britain 3D Archery Team. Lesley will now have to wait until after the May to see if she has secured a place on the team.
