First win for jubilant Castletown

Town edge out Noa Nomads

Castletown pulled off their first win of the season beating Noa Nomads 34-29 at Poulsom Park in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Bowl.

Alex Gibson was the Town hero with two tries and there were also scores from Dan James, Jim Emmett and Paul Drake.

Will Welsh converted two and there was also a penalty from Gary Stephenson.

Kenny Tasia weighed in with two tries for Nomads and there were also scores from Tom Kinrade, Orry Watterson and Alex Wilkinson with Dave Prince converting two.

In a friendly match at QEII, Western Vikings drew 29-29 with visiting side Dorking.

Big second row Liam Sweeney bagged two tries for Vikings with supporting scores from Mark Bienvenu, Kevin Mellor and Connor Caley.

Skipper Ed Alderson converted two.

Vikings make a return trip to Dorking next month.
