Convincing win for southerners at Union Mills

Only three matches were played in Manx Football on another damp evening for rearranged fixtures.

In the Canada Life Premier League, Rushen moved above Old Boys to third in the table following a convincing 6-0 win at Union Mills.

Scorers for the southerners were Jamie Johnston with two, Furo Davies, Alex Guy, Steven Riding and sub Matthew Lamb.

Colby are closing in on Castletown in the race for the second promotion spot from JCK Division Two.

They beat Onchan 4-2 at Station Fields and are now seven points behind their southern rivals with three games in hand.

Braddan kept their slim hopes of going up alive with a 5-0 win against Douglas & District.

The goals came from Adam McCulloch (2), Joe Andrews, Andy Glover and Mark O'Neill.
