Lawyers pledge to sell Island offer

Newly-established legal firm Keystone Law says its client approach could help attract new business to the Isle of Man.

Keystone, established in the UK with 200 lawyers on its books, opened an Isle of Man operation in January with an 11-strong team of advocates and legal practitioners - who declared the venture would break the traditional law firm model.  

While the company provides back office support, advocates work as consultants, operating on a mobile or 'remote' basis - from home, clients' offices, or on the move - avoiding costly overheads.

The team offers commercial and corporate legal advice, and says it will use contacts and referrals to promote the Island overseas.

Founder James Knight says the entrepreneurial lawyers who've joined Keystone are keen to promote the Island's offer:
