Ground-breaking conference could become an annual event

Diversity conference hailed a success

Officers from major UK corporations and organisations were among those addressing a 'ground-breaking' gathering in Douglas yesterday (Tuesday).

Organisers of the first Isle of Man International Diversity Conference now hope it will become an annual event.

Those from the public, private and third sectors were at the Villa Marina for the conference - representatives from a range of business sectors, education, local charities and the police.

Miranda Wayland was, until recently, diversity and inclusion manager at ITV.

It was put to her that a television network having such a position would have seemed unheard of not so long ago.
