Gathering to set service bar high
The Island's hospitality industry is on the up, but a concerted effort is required to make it soar.
That's according to managing director of the Sleepwell Hotels Group Mark Wilson.
He says recent tourism figures from the Department of Economic Development are encouraging, but it's now time for the sector to capitalise.
Leisure visitors to the Island rose in 2015 for the seventh consecutive year - with more than 130,000 travelling here for breaks.
Mr Wilson says ensuring they have a high quality experience served by professional staff, is vital.
Setting and maintaining high standards will be a key focus at next month's Manx Hospitality Day 2016, which has been organised by the Island's Chamber of Commerce Visitor Economy committee.
