Ramsey B and Douglas B dominant in Shield
Ramsey B kept their faint Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield hopes alive with a 52-5 defeat of Western Vikings at the Mooragh Park.
Jordan Walsh and James Wren both scored two first half tries each as the Ramsey back line dominated.
Wren and Walsh both crossed in the opening 10 minutes to give the hosts a solid start.
Walsh got his second midway through the half and, in the closing stages, Tynan Pritchard finished a pushover try and Wren went in for his second.
With Andy Cleator converting four from five, the half-time lead was 33-0.
Vikings fought back in the second half but, after a 20 minute assault on the Ramsey line, the home team broke clear and Adam Yates went in at the other end.
Cleator and Dave Keenan both added late scores for Ramsey before Vikings scored a well deserved consolation try through Paul Wheeldon.
Douglas B beat Emerging Nomads 72-7 at Port-e-Chee to finish off their Shield campaign in style.
Nathan Knights ran in a hat-trick of tries for Douglas and there were also tries from Will Archer, Craig McGee, Lance Wyllie (all two each), Mark Shortland, Karl Evans and Charlie Henthorn.
Archer kicked six conversions for a 22 point personal haul.
