by isleofman.com 19th March 2016

Town, Colby and Gymns all win

Castletown retain the slight advantage in the battle for promotion for JCK Division Two.

That’s after the second placed southerners won 4-2 at Douglas Royal.

Two goals from Joel Callow and one apiece from Andrew Blake and Jordan Cooper meant they returned home with the points.

Richie McCann and Gavin Gawne had kept Royal in the hunt.

Colby remain in the promotion hunt and are arguably the team in form after they thrashed Michael 8-0 at Balliera Road – Ashley Blake scored two of them.

Gymns ended a miserable run with a 3-0 home victory over Douglas & District.

Johnny Broad, Mike Travers and Daniel Kewley got the goals at Tromode.

Governor’s Athletic secured their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Malew.

Charlie Delborg fired the southerners’ in front.

Daniel Furwell scored either side of half-time to put Governor’s Athletic ahead only for Malew to equalise and earn a share of the spoils.

Foxdale sealed back-to-back wins.

They thrashed Onchan 6-0 at Onchan Stadium.

Liam Cannan – their match-winner at Gymns last week – Charlie Harrison, Matthew Moffitt, Scott Kermeen, Stephen Betteridge and Cal Wade were their marksmen.
