Bacchas A all but champions

Bacchas A have one hand on the PWC Men’s Premier League title.

That’s after the reigning champions demolished Castletown A 19-0 on Saturday.

Five goals from Andrew Whiting, four from Tony Bentley Roberts, three from Jamie Brown, doubles from Tom Wilson and Alex Bell and one apiece from Tom Evans, Chris Bass and Andy Vernon-Browne sealed the demolition.

The title is all but theirs after nearest rivals Valkyrs A were held to a 3-3 draw by Ramsey A.

Thomas Tsitsos, Eric Millar and Billy Cain were on target for the northerners with Chris Caldwell (two) and Luis Novo Smith replying for Valkyrs in an exciting six goal encounter.

Bacchas B had a fine 3-1 win over Vikings A, thanks to strikes from George Harrison, Chris Whiting and Gareth Craig.

Danny Williams replied for Vikings A.

In the PWC Women’s Premier Division, Kim Carney hit five as champions Vikings A put nine past bottom club Bacchas B without reply.

Kirsty Cooper scored twice with Zoe Crowe and Breesha Foxton netting the others.

Ramsey A and Valkyrs A drew 2-2.
