Final Reminder – if you are intending to support the Sport Relief tournament this Sunday morning PLEASE contact Jackie Russell asap – she needs to know how much food to order!! Hope it all goes well. Seniors and all yellow ball juniors can enter. Entry fee ?10 includes food. Register at 9.45am with play starting at 10am.

This is a fun event for a very good cause.

The Annual Albany Quiz night will be on Friday 1 April – April Fool’s Day which is probably appropriate for a lot of us. Teams of no more than six and please give your team a name. This year’s quiz master is our Chairman, Stuart Colligon, so expect some unusual questions. Start time 7pm, tickets incl supper – ?11 for fish& chips, ?9 sausage & chips or entry only ?5. Contact Pat Sharp (albanytennispr@manx.net)  to enter a team . Soft drinks will be on available or bring your own drink and take your empties home please.

The IOMLTA Summer leagues start on Monday 11 April with Albany A at home to Douglas A. Full fixture list will be on the League notice board in the hall. Our club coach Ian Watson has set up some practice sessions and anyone who hasn’t already given their name to Ian or Jackie is still welcome to attend if they want to play league tennis. Practice sessions for the women are Mondays 21 March, 4 and 11 April and the men are Wednesdays – 23 March, 6 and 13 April. All start at 7pm.

I’m sure everyone will agree that the clubhouse is already looking good with Nerijus doing a great job. What a volunteer!! Perhaps some others would like to start on the outside! I can only hope. It’s a big building and costly to maintain so any help would be appreciated.
