Strong growth from WH Ireland as local office office marks 2 years

by isleofman.com 26th February 2016
Wealth manager WH Ireland is enjoying strong growth in its international client base as its Isle of Man office marks two years in business.

WH Ireland’s Private Client arm offers wealth management and wealth planning services tailored to private clients, corporates and trusts in the UK and internationally from the Isle of Man, with the company now recording c.?2.5 billion of assets under management and direction.

This month marks two years since the launch of its wholly owned subsidiary WH Ireland (IOM) Limited, a period in which it has combined superior personal service with all the advantages of investing in a highly rated jurisdiction and a top-tier International Business Centre (IBC).

Richard Killingbeck, Group CEO, WH Ireland, said: “Our Isle of Man office has had a hugely successful first two years. This has culminated in excellent growth in our local and international client base, having contributed to a significant growth in our discretionary assets under management. We have also widened our international distribution channels and have formed a number of strategic partnerships. We continue to be committed to further increasing our assets under management through the delivery of a highly bespoke and superior level of client service.”

As part of its commitment to the continued growth of its international presence, WH Ireland recently expanded its Isle of Man team with two appointments.

Sam Green joins the team as Investment Associate and Lewis Malcolm has been appointed Marketing Executive.

David Bushe, Director, WH Ireland (IOM) Limited said: “The Isle of Man team continues to grow, and this has been reinforced by the appointments of Sam and Lewis. Sam will assist the Investment team with the day-to-day management of client portfolios, with Lewis supporting our new Marketing team based in the Isle of Man and London in the delivery of its strategic plan.”

Manx-born Sam graduated from Durham University with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences and achieved a Masters in Real Estate from the University of Reading’s Henley Business School. Sam is currently working towards his Investment Advice diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

He said: “This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly-regarded and expanding investment team, in addition to providing a strong platform for my career development as I train to become a portfolio manager.”

Lewis graduated from the University of Chichester with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and Marketing and before relocating to the Island in January 2016 worked within Marketing at PCI Telecom in Petersfield, Hampshire.

“WH Ireland’s commitment to strategically marketing its international private wealth management services from the Isle of Man has seen impressive results in just two years,” said Lewis. “As we continue to develop key international distribution partnerships and grow our business, I’m delighted to be part of the team.”
