Important Safety Notice – Tesco 3 Litre and 5.5 Litre Slow Cookers

by isleofman.com 16th February 2016
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of an important safety notice which has been issued in relation to Tesco 3 L and 5.5 L Slow Cookers (model number SCSS12 or SCSS13) sold between 1st July 2015 and 31st December 2015.

The slow cookers are fitted with KDJ brand plugs.

A safety concern has been identified. On a very small number of units, the plug may unexpectedly break to pose a risk of electric shock through live parts being exposed.

Tesco is recalling affected slow cookers as a precautionary measure.

No other Tesco products are known to be affected.

Model numbers can be found on the white label attached to the base of the slow cooker.

KDJ plugs can be identified by the letters KDJ printed between the two base pins on the plug.

What you should do:

If you have an affected slow cooker please stop using it immediately.

Please return the affected product to store where a full refund or replacement will be given. No receipt is required.

Contact details:

If you require further details, please contact Tesco Customer Services directly on 0800 505 555.
