Gr-eight Corinthians thrash dismal Saints

Corinthians hit eight past St Mary’s in the Canada Life Premier League on Saturday.

The Saints were missing key players in defence but had no answer to the rampant Whites at Ballafletcher.

Louis Thornton led the way with a hat-trick.

Callum Campbell (two), Darren Cain, Blane Slattery and Kane Ridings grabbed the others as they completed a rare league double over the Saints

The in-form Steven Glover netted for St Mary’s.

A Jamie Johnstone hat-trick ensured Rushen overcame a spirited Ramsey to win 3-1 at Ballacloan.

Alex Yates replied for the hosts.

Castletown boosted their promotion hopes in JCK Division Two.

They secured a routine 5-1 home victory over Douglas & District, courtesy of goals from Jack Thompson (two), Alex Crawley (two) and Paddy Cooper.

Daniel Clague-Stewart netted for D&D.

In the other game in the division, Braddan saw off Onchan 3-1 after two goals from Jamie Spicer and a Connor Dempsey penalty.

Mark Rees replied for Onchan.
