DotPerformance celebrates 10 years in business

by isleofman.com 11th February 2016
Local digital agency DotPerformance is celebrating its tenth anniversary having grown organically from strength to strength over the past decade.

Founded in January 2006 by Andy Orton, DotPerformance was one of the first digital agencies on the Isle of Man to focus on performance marketing – looking beyond brochureware websites to add value to clients’ businesses, something that continues to be the hub of the business today.

And it wasn’t long before DotPerformance become the Isle of Man’s first and currently only certified Google Partner, routinely managing over ?1.5 million of search advertising each year for its clients.

In 2010 with a growing team and client base, DotPerformance moved to their current home in the old chapel in Onchan and two years later, Andy’s long term colleague Rob Bathgate opened DotPerformance’s New Zealand office. This, supported by a collaboration with a Canadian development house, provides the company with an almost 24 hour delivery service. Today, the DotPerformance team is a 15 strong multi-talented group of designers, developers, strategists and marketers.

Over the last ten years, the company has delivered more than 350 websites for a variety of local and off-island clients, from small business and charities to large private and public sector organisations including Isle of Man Government and EDF Energy. Andy is proud of the successful, long term relationships that have been formed with many of these clients.

“Looking back over the last ten years I feel privileged to have worked with some fantastic clients, some of whom are now on their third and fourth major iteration of website with DotPerformance.”

Over the past decade, DotPerformance has continued to evolve its business in line with advancements in digital, mobile and social media technologies, as Andy explains:

“Despite huge changes in the digital landscape, we’ve kept ahead of the curve and innovated our product and service offering. At the end of the day, achieving success online will still come down to analysing and understanding the business problem and leveraging the most relevant digital technologies available at the time.”

Looking forward, DotPerformance intends to build upon the burgeoning success of its digital incubator program, having already seen its first co-built idea become profitable.

“Living and breathing digital like we do, a constant barrage of ideas and potential business models run through your head every day. So we saw a great opportunity in incubating digital start-up ideas – providing the digital expertise to help launch or evolve a digital business. And we’re looking forward to inviting industry leaders to join us and co-build their ideas together.”

To celebrate ten years of helping local businesses, DotPerformance is giving away one client gift each week for ten weeks on its Facebook page www.facebook.com/dotperformance.
