SureStrike Thursday Doubles League

The last week of the current league was a great night – Gutter Gang (Father and Son team of Dave and Adam Roberts) secured their place at the top with Pin Thrashers (Grandad and Grandson team of Terry Simpson and Sam Rodick) getting a great second. Joint third was Wobbly Pins (Husband and Wife team, Gordon and Margaret Ireton) and Aches and Pains (Barrie Nelson & Knut Lassen).

The Individual highs for the men were dominated by Gavin Laslett – he had High Game Scratch 254, High Game Handicap 277, High Series Scratch 694, High Series Handicap 742 and overall Highest Average Game of 183. The ladies highs also had a clear front runner, Margaret Ireton who bagged the High Game Scratch 198, High Game Handicap 246, High Series Scratch 455 and overall Highest Average Game of 139, the High Series Handicap was taken by Janet Grange with a 633. In the Juniors Sam Rodick took the High Game Handicap with a 227 and a High Series Handicap of 593 whilst Adam Roberts secured High Game Scratch with a 167 and High Series Scratch 397.

Highlights week 14

Highest Game – Kevin Ross scored 184 and Dave Lacey scored 183.
Highest Series – Gavin Laslett with a series score = 518 and Dave Lacey with a series score of 502.
Most improved player – Kevin Ross with a highest game scratch of 184 and highest game handicap score of 243.

The new Pepsi Thursday Doubles League commences on Thursday 4th February 2016, with 12 teams signed up and ready to bowl!
