Rare P50 up for auction

by isleofman.com 9th February 2016

Expected to fetch tens of thousands at auction

With just 26 examples left in the world, there aren’t many chances to buy the Isle of Man’s only production car – but you’ll get an opportunity next month.

A 1964 Peel P50 will go under the hammer in America in March, with ne reserve price – and could fetch tens of thousands of pounds from collectors.

The P50, made in Peel, was formerly part of a museum dedicated to microcars in Georgia, and has been fully restored.

Auctioneers say it’s had new paint, its chrome re-plated, engine serviced and even its interior has been refinished.

It’ll be sold by RM Sotheby’s in Florida on March 12.
