Costain clinches cup for Corinthians

Fifth Floodlit Cup title

Corinthians have won the Regency Travel Floodlit Cup for a fifth time.

A 24th minute goal from Lisa Costain was enough to secure the trophy for the Ballafletcher side against arch rivals Douglas Royal.

In a match played at Bermahague in rain and wind-swept conditions, Royal had the advantage of the elements in the second half but couldn’t find a way through a well-organised defence.

Corinthians centre back Leonie Roberts was named player of the match award after the final whistle.
