Kennaugh wins first road stage of Herald Sun Tour

Froome makes it a one-two finish for Team Sky

Peter Kennaugh has won the first road stage in the Jayco Herald Sun Tour.

He and teammate Chris Froome secured a one-two finish for Team Sky in Australia thanks to a phenomenal climb at Mt St Leonard.

Kennaugh - who won the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race last week - took the yellow jersey down under.

Froome was first atop at the climb earning him the king of the mountain jersey.
