Summerland site still on the market

by isleofman.com 3rd February 2016
Peter Karran, Member for Onchan, raised a question in the House of Keys sitting on Tuesday as to plans to develop the Summerland site.

Minister for Economic Development, Laurence Skelly, confirmed that two prospective purchases of the former Summerland site had regrettably not proceeded and as such the site remains on the open market for sale and is therefore dependent on market forces.

Minister Skelly confirmed that it is being marketed by Michael Chapman & Co and the objective of the sale will be to "generate a capital receipt for Government and to see the site redeveloped thereby creating economic activity for the benefit of the Manx economy."
