Equiom Solutions Limited, part of the international Equiom Group, will hold a seminar on tax and estate planning at the Palace Hotel, Douglas, on Tuesday 2 March 2016.

The Seminar, entitled ‘The UK Summer Budget – Implications for Isle of Man residents’, will be directed at Isle of Man individuals, their advisers and relevant intermediaries.

The agenda will include an overview of estate planning considerations for Isle of Man residents with UK connections, addressing the issues of residence and domicile and changes to inheritance tax planning. It will also evaluate the tax considerations for local residents with an interest in UK property, present and future.

The Seminar will be introduced and moderated by Clive Stanford, Non-Executive Chairman of Equiom Solutions Limited. The speaker line-up will include four key members of the Equiom Solutions team; Managing Director Helen Woods, Tax Directors Phillip Dearden and Kevin Renshaw, and Senior Manager Glenn Cassidy.

The proposals have caused much concern and confusion in recent months. The purpose of the Seminar is to educate local residents, their advisers and intermediaries on what exactly the changes mean to them and where they should seek further advice before the changes come into effect.’
