Damp still an issue at NSC

Delays until drying process complete

Two months on from the severe flooding at the National Sports Centre and all the facilities damaged remain closed.

There is some good news - work to clean the athletics track will begin next week and it should reopen the following week.

However, delays have been encountered elsewhere.

Head of Sport at the Department of Education Paul Bridson says drying everywhere out is taking much longer than originally thought.

And insurers won't sanction repairs until the facilities have been certified as dry:-
