House of Keys sitting today

The House of Keys sits tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd February.

There are 10 questions for oral answer and a further 6 for a written reply covering a variety of local topics.

Questions include Onchan Member, Peter Karran, asking the Communications Commisions about the steps being taken to lower telecommunication pricing.

Geoffrey Boot, Member for Glenfaba, is to ask various questions based around the number of road traffic accidents in conjunction with the proposed reduction in the drink drive alcohol limit from 80mg to 50mg per 100ml of blood.

Jon Joughin, Member for Douglas East, is to ask the Minister for Infrastructure as to any plans to investigate the conduct of managers following the recent allegation of gross misconduct against a bus driver.

Other matters for discussion include the development of the Summerland site, professional services costs for the redesign of the promenade and the Department of Economic Development's strategy for growing the Island's tourism sector.
