Deadline approaches for Appleby-sponsored awards

by isleofman.com 1st February 2016
There is just over a month left to enter the inaugural Director of the Year Awards, sponsored by the Isle of Man office of offshore law firm Appleby.

The awards, organised by the Island branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD), will celebrate outstanding business leadership in the Isle of Man and are designed to raise awareness in the Manx business community of the significant contribution business leaders make to society and economic prosperity.

Both IoD members and non-members from the public, private and third sectors are eligible to enter, and the winner of each category will be put forward for the National IoD Awards, which will be held on 21 October at the prestigious Lancaster Hotel in London.

Faye Moffett, Managing Partner at Appleby Isle of Man, said: “These awards bring important recognition of the major contribution the Island’s business leaders make to Manx society.

“Appleby has a longstanding relationship with the IoD and I feel it is important we support our local business community and celebrate its achievements. We are really proud to be a sponsor”

IoD Isle of Man Chairman, Clive Parrish, added: “I am delighted that the Isle of Man is participating in these prestigious awards and that local directors will now have the opportunity to be part of the National Awards this year; I’d like to say a big thank you to Appleby for its support.”

Entries close on 18 March, and further details are available from the IoD website or by emailing Claire Veale on admin@iod.im
