Freedom of Information Act introduced

Two govt departments first to bring in legislation

Access to government information will be available to everyone, as of Monday.

The long-awaited Freedom of Information Act will be implemented across government in stages over two years.

The Cabinet Office and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture are the first to employ the legislation.

Chief Minister Allan Bell says the phasing structure is important:
