Robinson the hat-trick star for Youth Centre

Glover also hits treble before being dismissed

Corinthians gave Peel a scare before the westerners sealed their place in the first round of the Paddy Power FA Cup on Saturday.

In a tie moved to Peel, the Whites threatened an upset as they led 1-0 at the break through Sean Doyle.

However, second half goals from Daniel Bell turned the tie around to set up a first round derby with St John’s.

That’s after the Johnners won 4-1 at Pulrose in their preliminary round tie.

Goals from Louis Morris (two, one penalty), Nathan Kelly and Harry Rothwell sealed their progress.

There were goals galore and excitement as Ramsey Youth Centre edged out Second Division Braddan after extra-time in an eight goal thriller.

Chris Robinson was the hat-trick hero in a 5-3 win and it was another treble sharp-shooter, Andy Glover, who was at the centre of attention for much of the afternoon with a hat-trick of his own before he was sent-off in the closing stages of extra-time.

On a difficult pitch at Bemahague, Glover fired Braddan into a half-time lead and doubled their advantage with a deflected strike shortly after the break – both set up by Conor Dempsey.

However, a quick fire Robinson double, the second a fine individual goal, drew the top flight club level.

Glover struck again to complete a hat-trick with 15 minutes remaining but, just when it seemed a surprise was on the cards, there was yet more drama as Marty Boyd's acrobatic overhead kick brought Youth Centre level to force extra-time.

It was a real turning point.

Just seconds into extra-time, gleeful Youth Centre scored again as substitute Greg Radcliffe put them ahead barely a minute into the extra 30 minutes.

Robinson completed a treble of his own to seal the tie before Glover and Lewis Moran were dismissed in closing minutes of extra-time.
