Local motor dealer Mylchreests, which holds the Land Rover franchise on the Island, invites everyone to the ‘End of the Defender’ event on Sunday 31 January. The event at the Isle of Man Motor Museum celebrates the iconic Land Rover Defender which is now no longer being produced.
But it isn’t just for ‘Landy’ owners and drivers, as the display of Defenders both old and new will appeal to anyone interested in these vehicles and their unmistakable place in motoring history. There will be a number of limited edition Land Rover Defenders on display, some special guests from the UK and the well-used, well-loved emergency service vehicles. And of course the Museum, with its exciting range of cars and bikes, will be open.
David Mylchreest, of Douglas-based Mylchreests, says that lending its support to this event was an easy decision: “We’ve held the Land Rover franchise since the 1960s, and Mylchreests have supplied most of the Defenders you see around the Island. I’m looking forward to welcoming many of those customers to the Museum on Sunday – it’s going to be a great day.”
