Isle of Man Funds Association host Open Evening and Drinks Reception

by isleofman.com 28th January 2016
The Committee of the Isle of Man Funds Association recently hosted its annual Open Evening and Drinks Reception at The Courthouse.

This event is now seen as a useful networking event which brings together Member Firms of the Association as well as like minded individuals from local organisations, government and regulatory representatives with an interest in the Isle of Man’s professional services industry.

David McGarry, 2015 Chairman, gave an overview of the Association’s previous year’s activity and noted thanks for support that he has received from Member firms, the Regulator and the Department of Economic Development as he neared the end of his term as Chairman.

Mark Holligon, who has Chaired the Association’s Marketing Sub-Committee during the year, provided an overview of the events that the Association had been involved in during the year from BVCA National Dinner Series, Regional and London Roadshows, Fund Start-Up Conferences and sponsored events at the London offices of the Royal Bank of Scotland and Thomas Miller Investment, culminating in the Annual London Luncheon at Clothworkers Hall in November.
