May mean long waits for sailings

The Island’s passenger watchdog body says it has serious concerns about plans to have people show photo identification before they can board a ferry.

The Department of Home Affairs is asking for views from the public about the proposals, and there are around three weeks left to get in touch.

But Travelwatch says it has misgivings over the plans – particularly as it could mean long waiting times in Douglas and other ports served by the Steam Packet around the Irish Sea.
