Committee to hear evidence on transparency of registration of property

The Select Committee of Tynwald on Registration of Property (Petition for Redress) intends to hear oral evidence in public on Friday 29 January 2016 from the persons listed below at the times indicated:

2.30pm Dr John Ffynlo Craine and Ms Annie Andree Jeannine Hommet, petitioners
3.30pm Mr Garth Anderson (Legal Officer Land), Mr Edward Clague (Deputy Director Central Registry), and Mr Nigel Lewney (Registries Section Manager)

The evidence will be taken in public. Members of the public are welcome to attend and the proceedings will also be streamed live via the Tynwald website.

The Committee was established by Tynwald on on Wednesday 21st October 2015 with a remit to consider and report by June 2016 on the Petition for Redress of John Ffynlo Craine and Annie Andree Jeannine Hommet. The full text of the petition can be seen at the following location:

The members elected to the Committee by Tynwald are Mr Geoffrey Boot MHK, Mr Alfred Cannan MHK and Mr Michael Coleman MLC. The Committee has elected Mr Coleman as its chair.
