House of Keys sitting today

by isleofman.com 25th January 2016
The House of Keys sits today Tuesday, 26th January, with a packed agenda.

There are 14 questions for oral answer and a further 5 for a written reply covering a variety of local topics.

Questions include Peter Karran asking the Minister for Health & Social Care about his Department's actions taken to protect the wishes of the deceased person in cases of organ donation.

Peter Karran will also raise whether the role of harbour attendants should increase to help with policing harbours and the airport? The Sea Terminal has featured recently on the Island's Constabulary's agenda due to reports of anti-social behaviour by large numbers of youth gathering at the building.

Ahead of this year's election and given last year's issue which highlighted some local Commissioners were not eligible to hold their posts, Ray Harmer, member for Peel, is to enquire as to the steps being taken to ensure the electoral role is complete and accurate.

Peter Karran is to ask the Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading as to whether the savings due to the low oil prices are being passed on to consumers.

With Allan Bell recently advising that the Island's Government had declined to take part in driverless vehicle trials Kate Beecroft is to to ask for more information as to who's decision this was.
