Appleby Fiduciary Business (“AFB”) picked up two accolades at the prestigious Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards 2016, marking a positive start to the New Year for the independent fiduciary business.

During the ceremony at the Grange City Hotel in London on Wednesday night, attended by a team from AFB’s Isle of Man and Jersey offices, the firm was awarded runner-up Trust Company of the Year in both jurisdictions.

Accepting the Isle of Man award on behalf of Appleby Trust (Isle of Man) Limited was Client Director Sandra Georgeson, who said:

“On behalf of everyone at Appleby Fiduciary Business I would like to thank the judges and all of our clients and contacts who voted for our team in the Isle of Man and Jersey. To be recognised among some of the leading players in our industry is a real testament to the team.”

Farah Ballands, CEO of AFB, added:

“2015 was an exciting and busy year for AFB and this award is recognition of the hard work and dedication of our team. This is a fantastic way to start the New Year and hopefully marks the beginning of many more successes, as we embark on our new journey as an independent fiduciary business.”

Now in their fifth year, the Citywealth IFC Awards were established to highlight the excellence of advisors and managers in the private wealth sector across the major international financial centres. A panel of highly respected judges with experience of working with advisors across international jurisdictions selected the winners based on their excellence in innovation, expertise and service.
