Castle Rushen gets its clock back

Operation to replace ancient timepiece

Time is again on the side of Castle Rushen.

The renovated clock face that overlooks the town square was replaced yesterday afternoon (Wed) by Manx National Heritage.

The work involved venture centre staff abseiling from the battlements to prepare the walls of the ancient fortress, before the clock itself was hoisted up from the foot of the Castle.

Mike Read was one of those involved in putting the clock back in place  . . . .
