No delays says minister

The Treasury Minister says he will be "very disappointed" if proposals for pension freedoms on the Island aren't brought forward before parliament dissolves in the summer.

On Tuesday Mr Teare told Tynwald that a working group of private and government representatives has drawn up initial recommendations, but these were yet to be finalised.

He says he doesn't want a knee-jerk reaction to what the UK has done, but rejects the suggestion that it would be in his interest to delay bringing in any such pension freedoms on the Island
