Plans to protect at-risk areas

Those living and working in areas like Hills Meadow and the NSC in Douglas have been told they can expect a programme of measures from the Manx Utilities Authority, to try and reduce the impact of flooding.

The area suffered during early December's heavy rains.

Now questions have been asked in Tynwald as to what is being planned to help push back any future threats.

Manx Utilities Authority Chairman Alfred Cannan MHK says plans have been drawn up.
