Gawne warning on Infratructure staff numbers

Recent bad weather has 'stretched' resources

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says his department faces real diffculties providing staff when the Island is hit by bad weather.

Mr Gawne was speaking after storms and floods over the last two months stretched resources  to their absolute limit.

His comments followed criticism in Tynwald of what was claimed was the unfair awarding of a demolition contract, for Laxey Bridge, to the firm JCK:
