Viking invasion in 2016 for MNH

Series of events lined up

It's the 'Year of the Viking' for Island historians as Manx National Heritage looks ahead to its 2016 programme.

The months ahead will feature a variety of shows, workshops and events celebrating the nation's Norse influence.

An exhibition running at the Manx Museum until April features loan artefacts from the Jorvik Viking Centre in York.

MNH Director Edmund Southworth said the Vikings shaped the Island as we know it:
