Tax avoiders will be caught says Teare

No evidence for growth in black economy on Island

The Treasury Minister says he has no evidence to suggest the black economy on the Island is growing.

Eddie Teare was replying to a question in Tynwald this morning from Onchan MHK Peter Karran, who believes austerity measures are encouraging cash payments and tax avoidance.

Mr Teare told the court those trying to avoid paying tax would be caught
