Helping kids go football crazy

by isleofman.com 19th January 2016
Union Mills Football Club is going from strength to strength – thanks partly to sponsorship and dedicated support from Kreston IOM. Kreston funds the kit, footballs and other equipment for the under 12s and under 13s squads and provides financial support to bring an academy coach from Manchester United to the island to train the children four times a year.

Kreston director David Pope is also closely involved in the development of the club. He said: ‘Helping these youngsters realise their potential is very close to my heart. I coach at the centre of excellence as a level 3 coach, volunteering twice a week and at matches and at least one trip per year, as well as funding indoor facilities at the Tommy Clucas memorial hall in Peel where Union Mills children can develop their skills.’
